Greenville announces events for July Fourth
GREENVILLE, Maine — “Hometown Pride” will be shown by Greenville during the Fourth of July celebration Saturday.
A variety of activities are scheduled for the day.
A craft fair, food vendors, children’s games and a book sale will begin at 9 a.m., followed by an opening ceremony at 10:30 a.m. sponsored by the American Legion.
An antique car parade will begin at 11 a.m. followed by a general parade at 11:05 a.m. A children’s bike parade and contest will begin at 1 p.m.
The Remotes will perform at an outdoor concert at 6:30 p.m., and fireworks will begin at 9 p.m.

Dexter fireworks display to be aired Friday night
DEXTER, Maine — A fireworks display sponsored by the town will be held at dusk Friday, July 3, in Dexter.
Sebec to kick off July 4 with breakfast, race
SEBEC, Maine — A breakfast will be offered at 7:30 a.m. as part of Sebec’s July 4 celebration.
The meal, to be served at the Sebec Village Community Church, will be followed by a 5K road race that begins at 8 a.m. A parade and flag ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m., followed by a canoe race on Sebec Lake.
A barbecue featuring chicken, hot dogs and hamburgers will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There also will be children’s games, live music and the Sebec Fire Department’s annual auction starting at noon.
