HAVERHILL, Mass. – Mrs. Maryella (Peabody) Morris, 62, and her husband, Doug, 63, both of Haverhill, Mass., and Maine died unexpectedly Thursday, June 25, 2009, from injuries sustained in an accident. Maryella and Doug were born in Georgetown, Mass., and educated in the Georgetown school system. She moved to Maine more than 30 years ago and while there, was certified to care for handicapped people. Doug was self-employed in construction. Maryella and Doug cherished time with their grandchildren and enjoyed gardening, fishing, time at his camp in Maine and riding his Harley-Davidson. Maryella was the mother of the late Wes O’Dell, who died in 2002. Her survivors include a daughter, Mary DeTillio of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Gloria Fuller of Kensington, N.H.; a brother, Donald “Joe” Dupuis of Moosehead; a stepbrother, Robert Dupuis of Pensacola, Fla.; five grandchildren, Wesley O’Dell Jr., Anthony, Cole, Harley and Logan O’Dell; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Doug is survived by his son, daughters, stepdaughter, sister and grandchildren in the Greater Haverhill, Mass., area Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial service for Maryella and Doug 11 a.m. Thursday at H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill, Mass. Burial will be at Harmony Cemetery, Georgetown, Mass. Calling hours will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
