CARIBOU – Leo James St. John, 59, died unexpectedly July 23, 2009, in Bangor. He was born Oct. 19, 1949, in Caribou, the son of Irene St. John. He was a graduate of Caribou High School and Bates College. He was employed at Caribou Starch Co. for four years, Birds Eye Division of General Foods for three years and at Burger King for 20 years. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Surviving, in addition to his mother of Caribou; are six brothers, Edward St. John of Presque Isle, Conrad St. John of St. Francis, David St. John, Romeo Bouchard and Louis Bouchard, all of Caribou, and Daniel Drost of Belgrade; one sister, Lily Searles and her husband, Wendell, of Caribou; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday, July 25, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, where services will be held 11 a.m. in the chapel with Father Aaron Damboise officiating.
