BANGOR WATER DISTRICT Water Treatment Plant Operator The Bangor Water District is seeking a water treatment plant operator, to be based at its plant in Otis. The position works rotating shifts (two days 7 am-7 pm, two nights 7 pm-7 am, followed by four days off). A two-year degree in engineering and three years experience is required (or five years of relevant experience in water, waste-water, or manufacturing.) Also required are: familiarity with PC operations utilizing Windows; demonstrated knowledge of pumping equipment, electrical equipment, and math; Maine Class III water operators licenses within three years of hire; and completion of the District’s certification program within one year of hire.
