ELLSWORTH, Maine — Nick Cowperthwaite doubled, singled and drove in two runs as Houlton eliminated Waldo County from the state baseball tournament for 9-10 year olds with a 7-5 victory Monday.
York topped Elliot Avenue of Auburn 15-2 in four innings in the other game. Elliot Avenue is eliminated.
Billy Phillips hit two singles, a double and had an RBI for Houlton. Cameron Graham doubled.
Brandon Smith paced Waldo County with a fifth inning two-run single. Emmitt Shell had an RBI single.

Auburn 13, Acadian 9
At Ellsworth, Abby Roy hit two doubles, two singles and knocked in a run as Auburn Suburban eliminated Acadian.
In the earlier game, Scarborough eliminated Biddeford 10-4.
Karli Stubbs hit two doubles for Auburn Suburban. Sara Hammond doubled and singled and Emily Jacques singled twice. Hammond and Roy combined to not allow a hit.
Abby Miller scored three runs to pace Acadian.
