CASWELL – Romeo Joseph Turcotte, 82, passed away Aug. 3, 2009, in Van Buren, after a brief illness. He was born May 9, 1927, in Caswell, the son of Randolph and Annie (Parent) Turcotte. Romeo was a lifelong resident of Caswell. He worked in the farming industry for many years until his retirement. Romeo enjoyed being a member of Caswell ATV Club, riding his four-wheeler and doing his yard work. He married Laurette (Beaulieu) Turcotte of Quebec, Nov. 10, 1952. He was a loving and devoted husband and father to his family. Surviving in addition to his wife of Caswell, are two sons, Marcel Turcotte of Lewiston and Gerard Turcotte and his wife, Sally, of Woodland; two daughters, Lina Simonu and her husband, Dave, of Connecticut and Anita St. Peter and her husband, John, of Caribou; two brothers, Fred Turcotte and his wife, Florence, of Illinois and Rudolph Turcotte of Caswell; four sisters, Loretta Theriault of Virginia, Jeannette White, Joan Marchionne, both of Minnesota, and Edwina Clavey of Florida; and one grandson, Kevin Turcotte of Woodland. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at St. Louis Catholic Church with the Very Rev.
