BANGOR – Elizabeth M. Lugdon, 89, died Aug. 4, 2009, at a local nursing home. She was born Dec. 12, 1919, in Burlington, the daughter of Edgar and Pamelia (Page) Clark. Elizabeth graduated from East Corinth Academy and Eastern Maine General Hospital School of Nursing. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Liz and Steven Jonason of Bangor; two grandsons and their wives, Rob and Melissa of Carmel and Steve and Angela of Thompson Station, Tenn.; four great-grandchildren, RJ, Tommy and Kaeli Elizabeth Strout, all of Carmel and Satchel Strout of Thompson Station, Tenn.; two sisters, Dena McMurphy and her husband, Mac, of Old Town and Charlotte of Kenduskeag; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be sadly missed by her devoted and closest friend, Alice Betters of Old Town; and very special cousins, Flora Shorey Tripp and Georgia Luce, of Burlington, and Roland Shorey of West Enfield. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth; sisters, Margaret and Priscilla. Out of respect for Elizabeth’s wishes, there will be no viewing. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth. After the services family and friends are invited to the Jonason’s home, 113 Yale St., Bangor.
