WINDHAM – Carol Bannister Enman, 62, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, after a brief illness with lung disease. She was born in Ithaca, N.Y. She graduated from Reed College as an English major in 1970. She and Bob came to Maine in 1990 when he began his music teaching career in the area and joined Bangor Symphony. Carol worked in publications and school placements as an adjunct to her husband’s teaching career. She was a gifted writer and had special interests in cooking, Russian history, biographies and literature, acquiring a large personal library. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert Enman; and her sister, Susan Strahorn. Services will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Jordan, N.Y.
