LITTLETON – Esther D. (Pelletier) Kaminsky Henderson, 84, passed away Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009. She was born Feb. 14, 1925, in Old Town, to George and Odelia (Dumais) Pelletier. She and her first husband, Louis, lived in Caribou for many years, then they relocated to Houlton. She worked at the shoe factory until it closed and also worked for Ivey’s Hotel for a few years. She farmed with her second husband, Burns, until 1986. She took great pride in her children and loved to see her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Kaminsky of Littleton and Janice and Robert Brayall of East Granby, Conn.; four sons, Richard and Ursula Kaminsky of Bristol, Conn., David and Jo-Ann Kaminsky of Appleton, N.Y., Dale and Sandra Henderson of Houlton and Steven and Holly Henderson of Houlton; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers, George and Pauline, Larry and Gladys, and Gil and Jan Pelletier; one sister, Lorraine Koehler; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Laura Pelletier; her first husband, Louis Kaminsky; second husband, Burns Henderson; one daughter, Celia (Rebel) Kirlin; one brother, Donald; and four sisters, Connie Albero, June Hacket, Joan Freme and Winiford Pelletier. At Esther’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. There will be a committal service 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. David Tuttle officiating.
