ASHLAND and MAPLETON – Elder Beaulier, 85, died Aug. 10, 2009, at a Caribou hospital. She was born March 7, 1924, at Eagle Lake, the daughter of Perley and Kathryn (Carney) Burby. She had been a resident of Mapleton for many years prior to health issues requiring nursing home care in the past few years. The last several months she was a resident of Borderview Nursing and Rehab Center, Van Buren. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Garra and her husband, Robert, of Wellington, Ohio, and Colene Dubay and her husband, Ronald, of Caribou; one son, Troy Beaulier of Mapleton; one brother, Hampie Burby of Bar Harbor; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Beaulier was predeceased by her husband, Wallace Beaulier in 1988; two sons, Rodney Burby and Gregory Beaulier; and by one brother, Ernest Burby. Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home, 114 Exchange St., Ashland. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark Catholic Church, Ashland, with Father Jean-Paul Labrie, celebrant. Committal service and interment will be in the parish cemetery.
