BRUNSWICK, Maine — Authorities have been searching for a swimmer seen struggling in the Androscoggin River in Brunswick, Maine.
Brunswick police said the man is in his early- to-mid 30s and was seen swimming in the river off a sandy area Thursday afternoon. They said he appeared intoxicated.
The Maine Warden Service and Brunswick and Topsham police suspended the search Thursday night and planned to resume Friday morning.
