BANGOR, Maine — The University of Maine System office at 16 Central St. experienced a water main break Sunday afternoon and will be closed until noon Monday.
Water flooded the building’s basement and, as a result, electricity and water have been turned off, according to a press release from UMS spokesperson Peggy Markson.
A UMS board of trustees technology committee meeting which had been scheduled to take place at the downtown office has been relocated to Orono at UMaine’s Neville Hall, Room 134, at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
UMS employees should call the “building information line” for updates after 10 a.m. Monday.
