ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Augustine “Tina” Daigle died Aug. 23, 2009, surrounded by her loving family at Woodside Hospice. She was born June 10, 1920, in Wallagrass. She moved to Enfield, Conn., in December 1968. In 1972, she became co-owner of Daigle’s Steer-o-Master Inc., Springfield, Mass. In 1997, she moved to St. Petersburg, Fla., where she became involved with the condo association. As a member of Women’s Club of Five Towns she was named Woman of the Year. She was an avid card player and a very caring, loving, generous and forgiving person. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Roland Daigle. She is survived by 11 children, Lewella Landry of Saco, Lee and Kevin Daigle of St. Petersburg, Fla., Frank Daigle of Fort Kent, Diane Scavoto, Francis Daigle, Karen Quimby and David Daigle of Enfield, Conn., Colette Fox of Springfield, Mass., Mark Daigle of Amelia, Va., and Jeff Daigle of Chicopee, Mass. She also has a sister, Esther Labbee of Stafford Springs, Conn.; and a brother, Reynolds Labbee of Madawaska. In addition, she is survived by 25 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. A wake will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at Leetes Stevens, South Street, Enfield, Conn. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 5 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to hospice in your area or to a veterans’ organization.
