TRENTON – David Mann, 62, died unexpectedly Aug. 23, 2009, at his home. He was born Nov. 11, 1946, in Bangor, the son of Donald and Julia (Meigs) Mann. David graduated from Bucksport High School in 1965 and studied accounting at Husson College. He then began a successful 20-year career with the McDonalds Corp. Later he expanded the horse business he shared with his wife. David will be remembered for his work ethic, great sense of humor and his love of woodworking. He also enjoyed spending his free time at camp. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jayne (Veayo) Mann; two sons, Jeffrey Mann and his wife, Jennifer, and Bryan Mann and his wife, Maria; two daughters, Lindsey Leadbetter and Reagan Spellman; a brother, Robert Mann and wife, Elise; a sister, Linda and her husband, Arthur Dickson; five nephews, Paul, Ronald, Randy, Mark and Craig; a niece, Kim; two grandsons, Joseph Mann and Bradley Leadbetter; and a stillborn granddaughter, Emily Mann. David was predeceased by his father, Donald Mann; and a brother, Ronald Mann. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Silver Lake Cemetery, Bucksport, with a gathering afterward at 440 Bald Mountain Road, Dedham.
