BANGOR – Linda M. Williams, 62, died Aug. 31, 2009, with her family by her side at home, after a courageous three-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born June 16, 1947, in Bangor, the daughter of Paul and Eleanor (Seger) Reilly. Linda devoted her life to taking care of the elderly, working at St. Joseph Hospital, Ross Manor and Freese’s Assisted Living. She loved to sew and made many clothes for her children and grandchildren. Linda wanted to express her love to her wonderful husband, Jack, who has been by her side taking care of her not only in sickness, but in the good times as well. Mom wanted everyone to know what a wonderful loving husband, father and grandfather, Grandpa Jack has been. Linda was grateful to have such a loving and doting man caring for her up until her last breath. Surviving are her husband, Jack B. Williams; son, Paul Hosmer and his wife, Bobbi and their son, Tommy, of Bangor; daughter, Merrilee Agana and her husband, Mike and their daughters, Alicia Marie and Bethany Lynn; stepson, Chris Williams and his wife, Liz and their sons, Jack and Owen, of Exeter, N.H.; and siblings, Catherine “Katie” and Pete Solis of California, Peter and Rhoda Reilly of California, Bobby and Shelly Reilly and their daughter, Emily, of Bangor, and Merry Paul of Lewiston. Linda was predeceased by her parents; and siblings, Gloria and Paul Reilly. She will be greatly missed by the Hosmer family. Relatives and friends are invited to call 4-6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a celebration of her life will be held 6 p.m. A gathering for family and friends will be held at Linda’s home after the service.
