SCARBOROUGH – Eugina “Gina” T. Lowell, 44, died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, with her loving family by her side at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, after a courageous battle with cancer. Gina was born in Millinocket, the daughter of Richard and Anoinette (Manzo) Lowell Sr. Gina was educated in Millinocket and was a graduate of Schenck High School. She worked in the administrative arena of the dental field for 16 years. For the past 10 years she was the valued and loyal office manager of Thomas Benenti, D.M.D., of Kennebunk. Gina was a devoted mother who loved animals, gardening, cooking and entertaining. She touched so many lives in so many different ways. For those who loved her and knew her, the loss of Gina will change their lives forever. She was predeceased by her mother, Antoinette Mary (Manzo) Lowell. Survivors include her partner, Mike Avery of Scarborough; daughter, Gianna Avery; father, Richard E. Lowell Sr. and stepmother, Sandra Porter; brothers, Richard E. Lowell Jr. and Scott Lowell; sister-in-law, Joni Lowell; nephew, Michael Lowell; niece, Lauren Lowell; sister, Michelle Schevis and brother-in-law, David Schevis; sister, Janelle Lowell; and nephew, Dalton Lowell-Zoidis. A visiting hour will be held 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at Hobbs Funeral Home, 671 U.S. Route 1, Scarborough, with a memorial service 2 p.m. Interment will be private at a later date.
