WESLEY – Yvonne “Sis” Gifford, 70, died Aug. 30, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Sept. 22, 1938, in Wesley, a daughter of Charles and Lucy (Guptill) Thompson. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sept. 11 at Wildwood Cemetery, Wesley. A gathering of friends and family will be held after the service at Ron Hawkins’ house, 84 Cedar Lane, Wesley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Wesley Community Church, 4455 Airline Road, Wesley, ME 04686.
