NEW SWEDEN – Martha Josephine (Haney) McNeal, born March 26, 1922, to loving parents, Thomas H. and Viola (Thompson) Haney, began her new life Sept. 6, 2009. She will once again be with her husband of 40 years, Charles Addington McNeal; three sons, Charles Sheldon, Wilson Gary and Melvin Lloyd; and her 11 brothers and sisters, Alfred, Mable, Leona, Harold, Patience, Milo Conley, Prudence, Thomas, Norman, Wilfred Dale and June. She is survived by seven children, Wilfred, Mavis, Carolyn and husband, Edward Wilcox, Thelma and her husband, Charlie Powers, Robert and his wife, Cheryl, David and his wife, Theresa, and Deborah; 24 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Matilda “Tilley” Haney; several nieces and nephews. She will fondly be remembered as Mammie by the families of Cindy and John McCormack, Melisa and Marco Poitras, and Robert and Margot Peck. Friend may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the chapel of Mockler Funeral Home with the Rev.
