DOVER-FOXCROFT – Beth E. Hesketh, 90, wife of the late Murray A. Hesketh, died Sept. 17, 2009, at a local hospital. She was born April 18, 1919, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Owen and Ethel (Spaulding) Edgerly. Mrs. Hesketh was a member of Pine Needle Christmas Club for many years and a past member of Advent Christian Church. She enjoyed her family, cooking, quilting, making braided rugs, a good book, watching her hummingbirds and walking around the greenhouse. She will be especially remembered for her apple pies. She is survived by three sons, Wayne of Hutchinson, Kan., Dennis and Roger, both of Dover-Foxcroft; a daughter, Susan Fairbrother of Dover-Foxcroft; eight grandchildren, Mary Brown of Kansas, David Hesketh of Kansas, Georgann Stewart of Kansas, Buster Hesketh of Kentucky, William Hesketh of Corinna, Jennifer Fairbrother of Dover-Foxcroft, Jessica Hall of West Virginia and Amy Hesketh of Bolivia; nine great-grandchildren, 10 great-stepgrandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including a very special niece, Gale Robinson of Dover-Foxcroft. She was predeceased by a brother, Elwood Edgerly Sr.; a sister, Thelma Pratt; and a son-in-law, Nat Fairbrother. Graveside memorial services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, in the family lot at South Dover Cemetery with the Rev. Nancy Moore officiating.
