ORRINGTON – The family of William Robert Gould, 67, announces his passing Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, from natural causes at a Bangor hospital. Bill was born Feb. 18, 1942, son of Clara and Arthur Gould of North Whitefield. Bill joined the Army at age 19. After an honorable discharge Bill went on to lead a full, active, hardworking life with several occupations. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, fishing, hunting, etc. He was a loving husband to his late wife, Martha Gould, and stepdad to her three children. Bill is survived by his son, Bobby Gould; brother, Arthur Gould; stepchildren, Geraldine, Valarie and Jason; and 10 grandchildren. He will be missed and never forgotten. The family extends a very special thanks to Debbie Morrill, Denise Morrill, and Doris and Randy Jordan. A graveside service will be held 5 p.m. Sept. 20 at Pine Hill Cemetery, Orrington. A gathering will be held after the service at Bill’s home.
