SEBRING, Fla. – Donna Somers, 75, passed away Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at her residence. She was born June 29, 1934, in Millinocket, and came to Sebring, Fla., in 1986 from Davie, Fla. In 1987 Donna along with her husband, Bud, were the founders of Somers Irrigation, Inc., Sebring, Fla. She was very fond of 4-H, Ridge Area ARC and the agriculture industry. She is survived by her husband, Bud Somers of Sebring, Fla.; daughter, Rhonda Young of Bangor; son, Thomas Hyatt Jr. of Ocala, Fla.; son, James Somers of Sebring, Fla.; brother, Stanley “Jim” Morrison of Millinocket; sister, Linda Wilks of Levant; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services were held 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Winfred White officiating. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Advent Cemetery, Limestone, with Pastor Ellen Cleaves officiating.
