ETNA – Chad A. Buzzell, 21, died unexpectedly Sept. 19, 2009, in Winter Harbor. He was born Dec. 9, 1987, in Bangor, the son of Alton and Kathy (Adams) Buzzell Sr. Chad graduated from Maine Central Institute, Pittsfield, Class of 2006. For the past two and a half years, Chad worked at Wal-Mart, Palmyra, in the deli and at the time of his death, he was the meat room attendant. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends, especially at Newport Country Club. His favorite pastime was just “hanging” with his friends. He is survived by his father, Alton and his wife, Beth Buzzell, of Maryville, Tenn.; his mother, Kathy and her husband, John Gibbons, of Etna; his maternal great-grandmother, Ida VanWart of Newburgh; maternal grandmother, Kathleen Adams of Brewer; his paternal grandmother, Janet Buzzell of Carmel; his paternal grandfather, Linden Buzzell of Newburgh; three brothers, Alton S. Buzzell Jr. and his wife, Aimee, of the U.S. Army stationed in Iraq, his twin brother, Kenneth A. Buzzell of Maryville, Tenn., and Cory M. Buzzell of Etna; his sister, Bryanna L. Gibbons of Etna; one special nephew, Jefferson; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He will also be remembered by his five stepbrothers and stepsisters, and sorely missed by his stepbrother, Jamey. Memorial services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at First Baptist Church, Pittsfield, with Pastor Jamey Simpson officiating.
