Firefighters from Hancock, Ellsworth and Lamoine made quick work of a fire that threatened a mobile home in Hancock Heights on Saturday afternoon. Crews were still on the scene at 6 Buttercup Lane in the Hancock Heights trailer park at about 2:30 p.m., but flames had been extinguished with minutes. While significant smoke and water damage could be seen, the single-wide trailer was left in tact. No one was injured and the cause of the fire was still undetermined.
