BANGOR, Maine — Julius Williams ran for 111 yards and a touchdown while leading his Husson University Eagles to a 35-25 football victory over SUNY Maritime College at Winkin Complex Saturday afternoon.

The 2-1 Eagles accumulated 304 total yards and took advantage of three fumble recoveries by the State University of New York’s Privateers from Throgs Neck, N.Y., to win their NCAA Division III Eastern Collegiate Football Conference debut.

A fumble recovery and 55-yard return for a touchdown by Ramael Barton in the second quarter, and a 40-yard touchdown pass from Jack Hersom to James Dobson in the third proved to be the pivotal scores for the Eagles.

The 2-2 Privateers gained 241 yards on the ground.
