LITTLETON and MAYER, Ariz. – Herbert L. Bither Jr., 50, went home to be with his Lord Sept. 26, 2009, at his sister’s home in Littleton, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born Jan. 23, 1959, in Bangor, son of Herbert L. Sr. and Dorothy (Malone) Bither. Herbie resided for 16 years in Mayer, Ariz. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey; daughter, Gina; grandson, Cody of Old Orchard Beach; five sisters, Bonnie and Bill Brewer of Dewey, Ariz., Fredia Bither, Deanna and Steven Estabrook, all of Houlton, Amy and Maynard Tingley of Littleton and Joy and Mike Ivey of Hodgdon; several nieces and nephews; one very special friend, Barb Thompson of Mayer, Ariz.; and a special niece, Jade of Littleton. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Linda; and sister, Peggy Stewart.
