EAGLE LAKE – Eddie Plourde, 81, died Sept. 29, 2009, at a Caribou health care facility. He was born Dec. 27, 1927, at Eagle Lake, the son of Ernest Sr. and Laura (Madore) Plourde. Eddie served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his children: three sons, Edward and Kenneth Plourde of Eagle Lake and Rickie Plourde of Bristol, Conn.; and his three daughters, Dale Roy of Eagle Lake, Beatrice Simard of Charleston and Christine Plourde of Bangor; four brothers, three sisters, 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are asked to attend a Mass of Christian burial with full military honors 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake. Burial will be at a later date at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, Caribou. Arrangements are being conducted by Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
