At Bucksport, Jerry Ferszt scored off a Nate Rossignol assist with 7:02 remaining in regulation to lift Caribou to the win.
Chad Caverhill added a first-half goal for the 4-2-3 Vikings. Garrett Jordan had eight saves on 11 shots.
Jeff Golding scored for 2-5 Bucksport, with Cody Farrell getting the assist. Joe Goodwin saved nine of 18 shots.

Southern Aroostook 4, Hodgdon 0
At Hodgdon on Tuesday, Dakota Sleeper netted two goals in the second half to propel Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook by Hodgdon.
Jesse Small and Patrick Goodall each added a goal in the second half for the 8-2 Warriors. Cody Robinson and Goodall each had an assist. Boulier stopped all four shots he faced.
Erik Ryan made 15 saves on 36 shots for 1-9-1 Hodgdon.

Penobscot Valley 3, Schenck 0
At East Millinocket on Tuesday, Tyler Brzozowski, Thomas Millett and Greg Rowley each scored an unassisted goal to lead Penobscot Valley of Howland by Schenck.
Jacob Jones made five saves on seven shots for the Howlers.
Ryan Thompson stopped 16 of 21 shots for the Wolverines.

Medomak Valley 3, Nokomis 1
At Newport, Alex MacKenzie had two goals and an assist to lead Medomak Valley of Waldoboro to the win.
Chris Morrill also scored for the 3-6-1 Panthers, while goalie Caleb Thompson made seven saves on 10 shots.
Feliz Schaefer scored for Nokomis on a penalty kick. Warriors’ goalie Tyler Wintle saved four of eight shots.

Machias 2, Jonesport-Beals 0
At Jonesport, Raymond Smith scored on a header off a Jacob Dahl cross with 15:36 left in regulation to lift Machias past Jonesport-Beals.
Ty Richards added an insurance goal on a direct kick from 35 yards out that went in off the crossbar with 13:40 remaining. Justin Weaver saved 12 of 15 shots for 7-2 Machias.
Sid Look made 11 saves on 20 shots for 4-4 Jonesport-Beals.

Mount View 5, Gardiner 2
At Thorndike, Eike Dominiak recorded three goals to lead Mount View past Gardiner.
Justin Pierel and Conner Schmidt added a goal apiece while Pierel and Zach Mehuren grabbed assists for the Mustangs. Nick Knight had eight saves on 10 shots.
Jason Ledoux and Josh Allen scored for Gardiner while Chris Kimball had an assist. Caleb Smith saved 15 of 22 shots.

Presque Isle 2, Hermon 0

At Hermon, Chelsea Nickerson scored a first half goal and Chandler Guerrette added a score in the second as Presque Isle shut out Hermon.
Kelsey Park and Rilee Elliot-Currie combined for four saves on nine shots for 9-0 Presque Isle.
Sara Bishop turned away 20 of 25 shots for 1-6-1 Hermon.

Caribou 6, Bucksport 1
At Bucksport, Olivia Sleeper had a hat trick as Caribou beat Bucksport.
Jenna Selander had a goal and two assists for the 7-2 Vikings. Madison Outing and Brianna Gorence also scored. Jamie Martin, Jessica Zyblut and Abby Small provided assists. Brittany Doak and Morgan Swan combined for six saves on eight shots.
Sadie Wight scored for 0-7-1 Bucksport. Bailey Blair turned away 14 of 20 shots.

Medomak Valley 2, Nokomis 0
At Waldoboro, Kasey Benner scored an unassisted goal with 18:11 left in the first half as Medomak Valley topped Nokomis of Newport.
Roxanne Jelenfy scored off a Julie Ennamorati assist with 4 seconds left in the first for 9-1 Medomak Valley. Junior Ericka Christensen saved eight of 12 shots to record her fourth shutout.
Laura Lyford turned away nine of 17 shots for 6-3-1 Nokomis.

George Stevens 7, Sumner 0
At East Sullivan, India Frazier scored three goals to lead the George Stevens Academy Eagles of Blue Hill past Sumner.
Lydia Clapp, Stevie Theoharidis, Rachelle Kane and Coral O’Brien also scored for the 5-3 Eagles. Hannah Van der Eb did not have to make a save to preserve the shutout in goal.
Kelsey Tucker made 18 saves on 40 shots for 0-8 Sumner.

Dexter 2, Penquis 1 (OT)
At Milo, Sarah Murray scored on an assist from Harley Ponte 3:32 into the first overtime to lift the Tigers to victory.
Katie Carson gave Dexter a 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal in the first half, but Sadie Zambrano of Penquis tied the match before intermission on an assist from Mindy Downing.
Lauren Crane made 10 saves on 16 shots for 3-7-1 Dexter. Shelby Fowles made 12 saves on 17 shots for 2-5-2 Penquis.

Foxcroft 2, Piscataquis 0
At Guilford, Paige Hobbs and Shee-Ann Sergeant scored to lift Foxcroft Academy over Piscataquis Community High School.
Sergeant assisted on Hobbs’ game-winner, which came 11:18 into the first half. Sargent scored on a direct kick in the second half.
Sarah Whittemore made five saves on 13 shots for 6-3-1 Foxcroft.
Julia Schaffer made 12 saves on 20 shots for 3-7-1 PCHS.

Schenck 4, Lee 2
At Lee, Kristen Thompson and Kristen Quinn each scored two goals as Schenck of East Millinocket defeated Lee Academy.
Kristina Jamo provided an assist for the 4-5-1 Wolverines. Leann Toothaker saved eight of 26 shots.
Katelyn Mallet and Rachael Kerr scored for the 1-8-1 Pandas.

Washington Acad. 4, Calais 2
At East Machias, Brandelyn Hodgdon had a goal and two assists to lead Washington Academy past Calais.
Jillian Day, Brianne Corey and Bryhannah Esposito also scored for the 6-3 Raiders.
Megan Cavanaugh and Alex McVicar scored for 3-4 Calais.
Jesse Hardy made eight saves on 19 shots for Washington Academy, while Hillary Hollingdale stopped 10 of 16 shots for Calais.

MDI 2, Ellsworth 1
At Ellsworth, Brailee Black and Courtney Sullivan scored second-half goals as Mount Desert Island of Bar Harbor beat Ellsworth.
Black scored an unassisted goal for the 6-3 Trojans and Sullivan added a goal on a penalty kick with 13 minutes left in regulation. Elizabeth Sargent saved six of 11 shots.
Taylor White had an unassisted goal to bring 3-6 Ellsworth within a score. Jessica Toothaker saved four of nine shots.

Searsport 5, DI-Stonington 0
At Deer Isle, Sarah Bradshaw had three goals as the Tigers shut out Deer Isle-Stonington.
Olivia Quigley scored the other two goals for the 6-3 Vikings. Quigley also provided two assists and Cassie Martin had an assist. Megan Higgins saved four of five shots.
Chelsea Brown and Britnie Jones combined for four saves on 10 shots for the 4-4-2 Mariners.

Stearns 6, Piscataquis 1

At Guilford, Angela Levesque scored two goals and a
ssisted another as Stearns of Millinocket defeated Piscataquis.
Becca Leavitt also scored two goals for the 6-4 Minutemen. Mallory Osborne and Shannon Murchison scored. Amanda Kranic and Ashley Rollins provided assists. Kirsten Marter and Leah Clement combined for two saves on four shots.
Brooke Morrill scored in the first half with an assist from Maggie Abbott for 0-11 Piscataquis. Brianna Tweedie turned away 28 of 36 shots.

Foxcroft 3, Mattanawcook 0
At Lincoln, Sabrina Sharrow scored two goals within a minute during the second half to help the visiting Foxcroft Academy Ponies pull away.
Mariah Arno had a first-half goal to stake 7-3 Foxcroft to a 1-0 lead.
Cassie Curtis made four saves on seven shots for the Ponies.
Colleen Albert stopped 11 of 20 shots for 5-4 Mattanawcook Academy.

Orono 2, Central 2 (2OT)
At Orono, Amber Saucier of Orono and Central of Corinth’s Alix Rudzinski didn’t allow a goal through two overtimes.
Central topped Orono 3-2 in double overtime last week.
Jillian Tuell scored on a pass form Mindy Adams with 12:39 left in the first to give 4-6-1 Orono a 1-0 lead. Bridget Vinal gave Orono a 2-1 lead with 5:44 left in the first.
Kaitlyn Stymiest tied it at 1-1 with 11:08 left in the first for 6-5-1 Central. Kayla Grindle scored off a Logan Wilson assist with 16:36 remaining in regulation to tie it at 2-2.
Orono’s Saucier saved four of six shots and Alix Rudzinski of Central had nine saves off 11 shots.

Dexter 2, Hermon 0
At Dexter, Kirstie Mower scored in the first half off a Caitlyn Wood assist to help lead Dexter to victory over Hermon.
Kayla Libby added an insurance goal in the second half on a penalty stroke for 9-2 Dexter. Maicee Gustin had no saves on one shot.
Jaime Roy saved 13 of 19 shots for 3-8 Hermon.

Southern Maine 3, Colby 0

At Waterville, Alex Burnham scored one goal and assisted on two others to lead the University of Southern Maine to a shutout of the Colby College White Mules.
The Huskies’ third straight win makes them 5-4. Peter McHugh and Jeff Soules each scored a goal. L.T. Sierra and Matt Powers each had one assist. David Kreps saved six of eight shots.
For the 1-5-1 Mules, Doug Sibor and Dan Marden combined to make one save on nine shots.

WOMEN’S SOCCER
Husson 2, Bates 1

At Lewiston, second-half goals nine minutes apart by Amanda Gifford and Megan Clement rallied Husson University past Bates College.
Gifford, in her first season at Husson after transferring from Bates, tied it up in the 63rd minute when she slotted home a long rebound off a Shelby Bradford shot.
Nine minutes later, Bates goalie Annie Burns lunged to punch away a Bradford shot off an Alex Laniewski cross but the carom went to Clement, who converted into a vacant net.
Sam Alper poked home an Alix Vandeventer cross in the 41st minute to stake Bates to a 1-0 lead.
Jen Plourde made four saves on 14 shots for the 7-3 Eagles and Burns finished with nine stops on 25 shots for the 2-3-1 Bobcats.

Bowdoin 5, UM-Farmington 0
At Brunswick, the Polar Bears erupted for five first-half goals en route to the win over UMaine-Farmington.
Nicole Fossi and Ellery Gould scored two goals apiece for 3-3 Bowdoin while Dana Riker added another and Toni DaCampo two assists. Kat Flaherty had one save in the first half while Devin Hardy didn’t have to make one in the second.
McKell Barnes came up with nine saves for the 3-6 Beavers.

At Gorham, Bethany Schleh scored off a Bethany Bougie assist just 2:20 into the first half to lift the University of Southern Maine over Worcester State College.
Kailey Bubie added a second-half goal with an assist from India Lowe. Allison Hill saved two of seven shots for the 6-4 Huskies.
Katheirne Masterjohn made nine saves on 20 shots for 3-7 Worcester State.
