MILFORD – Leonie “Leona” A. Sargent, 78, passed away Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born July 10, 1931, the daughter of Charles Jordan and Gladys Miller. Leona loved crocheting and putting together jigsaw puzzles, and she always enjoyed her flowers and plants. Leona will be fondly missed by her husband, Harold Sargent; her five children, John Ewer and his wife, Norma, Roger Ewer and his wife, Roxanne, Gayle Beal, Joni Webber and her significant other, Colby Currier, and Karen Winslow and her husband, Gradie; her two stepchildren, Mike and Ann Sargent; her 10 grandchildren, John Jr., Roger Jr., Dennis, Mike, C.J., Arthur, Stephanie, Emma, Ellie and Amy; her four stepgrandchildren, Cheryl, Debbie, Bruce and Brian; and her numerous great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where a funeral service will held 3 p.m. with Rev. Bruce Stevens officiating. There will be no burial at this time.
