HOULTON – Irene B. London, 89, died Oct. 11, 2009, at a local hospital. She was born May 6, 1920, in Littleton, the daughter of Bliss and Allie (Foster) Bubar. Irene was a member of United Methodist Church, was employed as a medical technician working for Boston City Hospital for several years and worked as an instructor at Roger Randall Center for 10 years. She is survived by one son, Kent and his wife, Lori, of North Vassalboro; three daughters, Carleen London of Houlton, Leslie Ryan of Sidney and Susan and her husband, Roger McBride, of Littleton; six grandchildren, Bret Ryan of Sidney, Britt Ryan of Groton, Conn., Matthew McBride of Littleton, Sara and her husband, James McQuarrie, of Hodgdon, Ross London of North Vassalboro, and Chad and his wife, Alison Littlefield, of Lewiston; three great-grandchildren, Katie McQuarrie, Brooke Littlefield and Neal McQuarrie; sisters-in-law, Priscilla Bubar and Joyce Duff; brother-in-law, Harold Lycette; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Mansfield; two brothers, Ivan and Treston Bubar; and two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Bubar and Lois Lycette. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dunn Funeral Home where friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday.
