ELLSWORTH, Maine — The Maine Warden Service says a 57-year-old Orrington man has died after crashing his all-terrain vehicle while scouting for deer in preparation for the upcoming hunting season.
Wardens say Dion Seymour Jr. was reported missing at 9 p.m. Thursday after going out earlier in the day to scout a favorite hunting area in Ellsworth.
Game wardens aboard ATVs found Seymour shortly before midnight on a steep trail with a granite ledge. Officials say he apparently rolled his ATV and it landed on him.
