ROCKWOOD, Maine — Four men who were traveling on Moosehead Lake on a pontoon boat Tuesday morning were rescued after their boat took on water and became partially submerged.

The men were found clinging to the boat in choppy waters as rescuers from the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and the Moosehead Marina arrived.

There reportedly was only one lifejacket on the boat.

Rockwood firefighters and ambulances from the Charles A. Dean Memorial Hospital were on stand-by at the Rockwood boat launch.
