BRIDGEWATER, Mass., and MILBRIDGE – Loraine (Beal) Penticoff, 79, of Bridgewater, Mass., died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, surrounded by her family at Braemoor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Brockton, Mass. Born Monday, Nov. 11, 1929, in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Ellis F. and Harriet E. (Leach) Beal. Loraine was a lifelong resident of Bridgewater, Mass., and was a graduate of Bridgewater High School. She was involved with the local historical society and genealogy for more than 25 years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and doing crossword puzzles. She is survived by a longtime companion, Alan Pray of Bridgewater, Mass.; three children, William F. Chipman and his wife, Judy, of Chiefland, Fla., Dale E. Chipman of Chiefland, Fla., and Terry L. Ellis and her husband, Randy, of Bridgewater, Mass.; five grandchildren, Ross Chipman, Lisa Crowley, Jessica Ellis, Katie Andrade and Jennifer Penticoff; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl H. Beal and his wife, Constance, of Harrington; a sister-in-law, Edwina Beal of Harrington; several nieces and nephew. She was also mother of the late John Ray Penticoff; and sister of the late Sonny, Robert, Rex and Ray Beal. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Gilbert Pinkham Cemetery, Harrington, with Pastor Jan Rhenow officiating.
