HAMPDEN and MANSFIELD, Mass. – Douglas Allen Stewart passed away unexpectedly Oct. 26, 2009, at his home is Hampden. Douglas was born May 12, 1967, in New Brunswick, N.J., to Ronald A. and Jean Nesbitt Stewart. Douglas grew up and attended schools in Mansfield, Mass. He worked several years as a security officer at Wheaton College, Bridgewater State College and for a private security firm. He then moved to Maine and worked for Microdyne. Douglas will be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Douglas is survived by his father, Ronald A. Stewart and wife, Deborah, of East Bridgewater, Mass.; sister, Robin Crocker and husband, Barry, of West Enfield; two stepbrothers and their respective families, Gregory Smith of Bridgewater, Mass., and Jason Smith of East Bridgewater, Mass.; one niece, Alexandra Leary Hatch and husband, Jacob and their son, RJ, of Old Town; and a nephew, Jason Leary of Norton, Mass. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Spring Brook Cemetery, Mansfield, Mass. Family and friends are invited to share in a time of remembrance immediately after the graveside service at Ronald and Deborah’s home, 11 Northfield Ave., East Bridgewater, Mass.
