PRENTISS and LINCOLN – Beulah Thompson, 84, wife of the late Harold Sterling Thompson, died Nov. 3, 2009, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born Dec. 19, 1924, in Prentiss, the daughter of Archie and Lena (Jipson) Worster. Beulah worked at Forster Manufacturing Co. for several years. She loved playing bingo, was really good at crossword puzzles and embroidering. She was the oldest girl of 16 children and stayed out of school a lot to help care for the family. She is survived by five children, Harold Derwood Thompson and Becky of Connecticut, Galen Thompson and Sharon of Lincoln, Sylvia Walcott and Bobby of Lee, Dalton Thompson and Judy of Princeton, and Susan Jipson and Richard of Prentiss; seven siblings, Vernon Worster of Prentiss, Donald Worster of Corinna, Guy Worster of Skowhegan, Katherine Smith of Lincoln, Norma Worster of Prentiss, Wayne Worster of Lee and Marie Worster of Prentiss; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and eight stepgrandchildren. In addition to her husband, Harold, she was predeceased by a great-grandson, Nicholas Smith; several brothers and sisters. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Thomas Smith officiating.
