PENOBSCOT – Randy Scott Wardwell died unexpectedly Nov. 2, 2009, at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital. Randy was born June 12, 1959, in Castine. Those who knew Randy will always remember his eagerness to help anyone in need, his great love for his pets and his unwavering smiles. He dearly loved his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing with the boys at Eddie’s camp. He was predeceased by his father and best friend, Lawrence “Bucky” Wardwell. He is survived by his loving wife and friend of 30 years, Wanda Marie Wardwell; his son, Troy Scott Wardwell of Penobscot; his mother, Patricia Wardwell of Penobscot; sisters, Robin Vogell and her husband, Scott, of Castine, and Lisa Haas and her husband, Ronald, of Penobscot; his grandmother, Mary Robshaw of Bucksport; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He will be especially remembered by his good friend, David Calder of Penobscot. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Castine Cemetery with the Rev. Sandra Reed officiating. After the memorial service the family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at Robin and Scott Vogell’s home, Battle Avenue, Castine.
