BANGOR, Maine — The top high school volleyball players in the state will square off in the East/West Senior Volleyball Showcase at Husson University on Saturday at 6 p.m.
The first team includes Greely of Cumberland Center’s Michaela Campbell and Karlee Biskup, Washington Academy of East Machias’ Christina Ramsdell and Janelle Tinker, North Yarmouth Academy’s Hanah Bewsey, Mount Desert Island of Bar Harbor’s Molley Strout and Molly Dow, Gorham’s Hannah Shorty, Cape Elizabeth’s Alison Johnson and Narraguagus of Harrington’s Cassie Fickett. The first team will be coached by Kelvin Hasch of Greely and Christine Davis of Washington Academy.
The second team includes, Jonesport-Beals’ Lindsey Jones, Falmouth’s Alyssa Yeung, Emma Wilberg and Carolyn Smyth, Woodland’s Ariel Knights and Shelby Bassett, Scarborough’s Laura Suarez, Calais’ Nicole Osborne and Rebecca Blake, and Yarmouth’s Kate Darrell; Gary Powers of Falmouth and Steve McGinley of Calais will coach the team.
The game is sponsored by the Maine Volleyball Coaches Association and admission is free.
