Surrounded by family and friends, Sandra Goodrich attends Sunday evening’s candlelight vigil on Sebasticook Lake in Newport. Seventeen people sang and prayed as they stood in a circle. The vigil was held in memory of Goodrich’s husband, Perley Goodrich Sr., who allegedly was killed by their son Perley Goodrich Jr. in late October. “He [Goodrich Sr.] was always joking, and he was such a wonderful person,” said Sandra Goodrich’s friend Margaret Kennedy.
