BANGOR – James “JD” D. Blakeman Jr., 23, died unexpectedly and tragically Nov. 11, 2009, in a motor vehicle accident in Bangor. He was born Sept. 16, 1986, in Bangor, the son of James D. Sr. and Carole A. (Morang) Blakeman. JD graduated from Brewer High School and was attending Eastern Maine Community College. He worked at Amato’s for several years. JD was an honest carefree person who had many friends that he loved. He enjoyed a good meal and loved his “Nan’s” pumpkin pie. JD had a good heart and will be dearly missed by his mother, sister, grandparents, father and many friends. He is survived by his mother, Carole Blakeman; a sister, Danielle Blakeman, both of Bangor; father, James D. Blakeman Sr.; stepsisters, Lanie and Lilly of Brewer; and maternal grandparents, Lydia Morang and husband, Walter, of Eddington. He also leaves a special uncle, David Blakeman of Bangor; many other aunts, uncles and cousins; and best friend, Justin Bragg. In addition to his paternal grandparents, he was predeceased by an uncle, Walter Morang III in 2007. Friends may call 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Mick, pastor of Bangor Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be after the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hermon.
