BANGOR – James Kerwin Gallagher, 80, died Nov. 26, 2009, at his residence. He was born Nov. 25, 1929, in Bangor, son of the late John E. Gallagher and Ruth M. Dyer (Russell). Jim served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Parish. Jim worked for N.H. Bragg & Sons for 39 years until his retirement. He enjoyed bowling and was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan. James was predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Guida Mae (Toney) Gallagher; and his son, Christopher Allen Gallagher. He is survived by three daughters, Linda St. Pierre and husband, Norm, of Auburn, Terry Lynn Marshall and husband, David, of Sydney, Nova Scotia, and Annmarie Gallagher and fiance, Donnie, of Benson, Ariz.; two sons, Michael Gallagher of Houlton and John Gallagher of Saco; and five stepsons, Nelson, Phillip, Wayne and Anthony Morris, of Nova Scotia and Roger Morris of San Antonio, Texas. Also survived by him are his grandchildren, Steven, Christien, James, Julian and Brandi; and one great-grandchild, Steven Jr. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor.
