CALAIS – Sandra R. Fleisch, 64, went to be asleep with her Lord Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, with her loving family by her side at a Bangor hospital. Sandi was born July 8, 1945, in Jersey City, N.J., daughter of the late Robert and Doris (Craig) Olson. She graduated from North Bergen High School in New Jersey, Class of 1964. On Jan. 8, 1965, she married her high school sweetheart, Edward Fleisch in East Rutherford, N.J. Sandi was an office worker for various companies until relocating with her husband to Maine in 1979. She was employed by More Business Forms, Bangor and Jaxs, Lincolnville. Sandi was also a nationally registered emergency medical technician in Eastport for many years. She was a member of Three Angels Seventh-day Adventist Church, Whiting, as well as Seventh-day Adventist churches in Calais and Lincoln. Sandi was active in church being a leader of Pathfinders and a member of Goodwill Club. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, painting, working with children, computers and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Sandi was predeceased by two granddaughters, Nicole and Danielle Sufficool. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 45 years, Pastor Ed Fleisch; her daughter, Christina Sufficool and her husband, John, of Okeechobee, Fla.; two grandchildren, Bradley Sufficool of Okeechobee, Fla., and Emily Scott of St. Stephen, New Brunswick; and many other children and friends whom called her mom or grandmother. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A celebration of Sandi’s life will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Three Angels Seventh-day Adventist Church, Route 1, Whiting. Burial will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Split Hill Cemetery, Lubec.
