BRADLEY – Warren E. Morgan, 89, a quiet, gentle man with bright blue eyes and a contagious smile, passed away Dec. 7, 2009, surrounded by those he loved at a Bangor health care facility. He was born Nov. 2, 1920, in Bradley, the son of Elmer and Velma (Elliott) Morgan. Warren was elected worshipful master of star in the East Lodge No. 60, AF & AM, in 1960. He also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Warren will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted daughter, Jeanne Morgan McCurdy; his family and friends. He was especially close to his niece, Barbara Nadeau of Bradley and thankful for all her care, devotion and love. Warren held a special place in his heart for his nephew, Barry Morgan of Portland. Warren is survived by his daughter and best friend, Jeanne M. McCurdy and her husband, Jim, of Hermon; and his beloved younger sister, Althea Fournier of Bradley. He is also left five grandchildren whom he cherished and their spouses, Sara Sandler and her husband, Matt, of Massachusetts, Debbie Leland and her husband, “Butch,” Valerie King and her husband, Scott, Rhonda Foster and her husband, Tim, and Warren A. Morgan and his wife, Nicole, all of Old Town; nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren who he adored. Warren was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife of 65 years, Constance; his only son, Chief Master Sgt. Aubrey W. Morgan; his brothers, Laurence and Galen; one grandchild and one great-grandchild. Jeanne thanks all of the staff at Maine Veteran’s Home and Hospice of Eastern Maine, and extends a special thank you to longtime neighbors, Joanne Gallant, Bea Page, Tom Nadeau, and Mike and Millie Smith, for their constant help, support and friendship. Warm thanks to Al Pelletier for sharing morning cups of coffee with Warren. Also, an emotional thank you to the staff at Governor’s Restaurant, Old Town, for many happy memories. A memorial service with a Masonic service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, with the Rev. Darren Morgan officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held after the memorial at his home in Bradley. Interment will be at a later date.
