BUCKSPORT – Brenda Cloukey Hunt, 49, passed away peacefully Dec. 7, 2009, after surgery in Portland. A lifelong resident of Maine, Brenda went to heaven to be with her parents, Elmer and Joyce Cloukey. Brenda left a legacy of love after a life of bringing people together with laughter and the truest love. Her sparkling personality was showcased in her beautiful smile, the dazzling jewelry she wore for every occasion and her flare for throwing on a velvet dress and making life a party. Brenda is survived by her two children, Katy Robinson and Anthony Hunt; their father and her first love, Keith Hunt; her grandson, Ryder Robinson; and son-in-law, Tom Robinson. Brenda’s brothers, Peter, Kris and Keith Cloukey; and sister, Mary Gray, also survive her. Peace will be with Brenda eternally knowing one of her most genuine friends, Suzie MacNair Reed, was with her on her last day. Brenda’s soul will be fulfilled knowing her children are surrounded by an amazing family, who will love and respect her everlastingly. The love of her confidant, Blaine Astbury; and friends, Kathy Boyce, Lorraine Colpitts, Stacy Freeman, George Knowles and Melissa Mondegreen, will be with her forever. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. A reception will be immediately afterward at McLeod’s Restaurant, corner of Main Street and Central Street, Bucksport.
