CORINNA – Larry Cookson, 67, died Dec. 5, 2009, in St. Albans. He was born March 29, 1942, in Bangor, a son of Walter and Eleanor (Hurd) Cookson. He retired from Dexter Shoe Co. in 1999. Larry enjoyed fishing, dancing, watching the Red Sox and anything “Elvis.” He is survived by his wife, Enola (Payne) Cookson of Corinna; a son, William of Lewiston; two daughters, Kristie Walker of Portland, and Robin Duke of Florida; a stepson, Mark Pomeroy of West Virginia; a stepdaughter, Hallie Pomeroy of New Hampshire; a brother, Stephen of Dexter; seven grandchildren; a niece, Randi; his nephew and fishing buddy, Spencer; and best friend, Bob Weymouth. Friends may call 2-3 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main St., Dexter. Graveside committal services will be held in the spring at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
