PEMBROKE, Mass., and OLD TOWN – Elizabeth “Poppy” Louise (Kennedy) Boynton, 70, passed away Dec. 11, 2009, after a brief illness at a Boston hospital. She was born July 16, 1939, in Old Town, the daughter of James Kennedy Sr. and Dorothy Kennedy. Elizabeth attended Old Town schools and graduated from Brockton High School in Massachusetts. She enjoyed setting up at flea markets, yard sales and was an avid antique collector and dealer. Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 28 years, Brant Boynton; her daughter, Linda Parvin and her husband, Mike, of Soldnotna, Alaska; her son, Peter Lemay and his wife, Sonja, of Monticello; and a daughter, Brenda Lemay of Haverhill, Mass. She also has four grandchildren, Joey, Millynda, Jessica and Mickey; two great-granddaughters; one brother, James Kennedy and his wife, Caroline, of Alton; one sister, Linda Emmons of Alton; along with several nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside memorial service in the spring at West Old Town Cemetery.
