MADAWASKA – Armand “Bea” L. Pelletier, 86, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, at a Madawaska health care facility. He was born Dec. 13, 1923, in St. David, the son of George and Lucie (Dufour) Pelletier. Armand worked as a welder on construction projects and in shipyards. He was proud he had helped build naval aircraft carriers and submarines. He enjoyed a long retirement of more than 35 years, and relished time spent fishing and hunting. He is survived by one son, Armand Pelletier Jr. of Caribou; grandson, Kevin and his wife, Shelly; granddaughter, Jamie and her daughter, Tayler; three sisters, Alfreda LaCasse of Berlin, N.H., Auror Coltart of Madawaska and Jeannine Wharton of Madawaska; many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents; two infant brothers, Gerard and Edward; and four sisters, Lucille, Gisele Tie, Cecile Pelletier, all formerly of Madawaska, and Sister Velma Pelletier of Orange, Calif. Spring interment of his ashes will be at Saint David Cemetery.
