OLD TOWN – Ronald C. St. Louis, 78, died Dec. 22, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. Ronald was born Aug. 29, 1931, in Old Town, the third son of Clement J. and Irene (Messier) St. Louis. He was a graduate of Old Town High School, Class of 1951. Ronald proudly served in the U.S. Navy, 1951-1955, earning the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Navy Occupation Service Medal E. He was a 1956 graduate of Higgins Classical Institute and attended Husson College in 1957 and 1958. He was employed by State of Maine Liquor Commission, 1959-1980. He also worked at Tim’s Little Big Store for 13 years. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3381, Old Town; BPOE Elks Lodge 1287, Old Town; Father Druillette Council Knights of Columbus, AF & AM Masonic Lodge 60, Old Town; Penobscot Conservation Club; and American Legion. He is survived by a son, Brian St. Louis and his wife, Kathy, of Milford; two special grandchildren, Cady and Natalie of Milford; two stepchildren, Mike and Janet; two brothers, Norman St. Louis of Bangor and Joseph St. Louis of Old Town; two sisters, Cecile Pietrowski of Old Town and Yvonne Spinks of Florida. He was predeceased by his parents; and a sister, Priscilla St. Peter. Friends may call 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where members of Elks Lodge will conduct a chapel service beginning 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at Resurrection Parish, Holy Family, 429 Main St., Old Town. Immediately after the Mass all are invited to the parish hall for a light luncheon and continued fellowship. Spring interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery with military honors.
