BIDDEFORD, Maine — The Biddeford code enforcement officer is investigating whether there were any code violations involving second-floor balcony on an apartment building that crashed into a parking lot Saturday night, sending six people to the hospital.
Fire department Capt. Rick Dussault said the porch broke free from the building and fell 13 feet at about 11:20 p.m.
Dussault said six people were taken to area hospitals. He had no further information on the victims, but said their injuries were serious.
