DEXTER – Leona E. Hersey, 82, died Dec. 29, 2009, at a Dexter health care facility. She was born Nov. 26, 1927, in Milo, daughter of Carroll and Viola (Drinkwater) Royal. Leona was predeceased by her husband, Earl S. Hersey in 1998. She is survived by three daughters, Joanne Glidden and Earlene Briggs, both of Dexter, and Shirley Reynolds of Bangor; several brothers and sisters, three grandsons and six great-grandchildren.
