BROWNVILLE – John E. Leeman, 84, husband of the late Ruth M. (Applebee) Leeman, passed away Jan. 1, 2010, at home. He was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Brownville Junction, the son of Harold Leeman and Vivian Leeman Stone. John was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening. He worked as a logging contractor for many years, and later owned and operated Leeman Brother’s Demolition for several years. He is survived by three sons, James of Atkinson, Frank and his wife, Grace, of Williamsburg Township and Roger and his wife, Donna, of Brownville Junction; three daughters, Ruth Heath and her husband, Raymond, of Ebeemee Township, Joanne Lapointe and her husband, Edward, of Williamsburg Township and Barbara Lamore and her husband, Michael, of Cambridge, Vt.; a grandson, Duane Heal; 10 granddaughters, Stacy Hunt, Starr Leeman, Dawn Johnston, Dana Leeman, Shauna Cameron, Racquel Tibbetts, Alicia Estes, Krista Zwicker, Danielle Pelkey and Michelle Lamore; two great-grandsons, Keigan David Johnston and “Little” Frank Leeman; and seven great-granddaughters, Hollee-Ann Heal, Amanda Heal, Hope Cole, Faith Brown, Misty Johnston, Ciara Hussey and Allsion Tibbetts. He also leaves four brothers, Harold of Cochise, Ariz., Dorn of Congress, Ariz., Willard “Lee” of Milo and Gary of Florida; and a sister, Eileen Delahunt of Brewer. John was predeceased by his wife, Ruth; a son, David; and a daughter, Helen. A funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, at Lary Funeral Home, Milo, with the Rev.
