PETER DANA POINT – Gordon M. Campbell, 60, passed away Jan. 8, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. Gordon was born Dec. 11, 1949, in Baileyville, to Ceiward L. and Margaret E. (Elsemore) Campbell. Gordon loved hunting and fishing, and he enjoyed making Indian baskets and piecing together model cars, planes and ships, but his favorite pastime was playing his Playstation. He was also a member of American Legion Earl Severance Post No. 191, Topsfield. In addition to his parents, Gordon was predeceased by a sister, Wanda Lee; and a grandson, Miguel Campbell. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Diane (Sockabasin) Campbell; a daughter, Roseanne Campbell and her fiancee, Michael Richey, of Peter Dana Point; an adopted daughter, Zandra Campbell of Peter Dana Point; six stepdaughters, Dinah Levesque, Nina Levesque, Glenna Nicholas and her husband, David, Adelina Coffin and her husband, Darrin, Lucy Nicholas and her husband, William, and Jennifer Socobasin and her husband, Joseph, all of Peter Dana Point; four stepsons, Jason Levesque, Raynard Levesque, Gerard Levesque and Clay Levesque, all of Peter Dana Point; two sisters, Sharon Leeman and her husband, Ted, of Baileyville and Sally Niles of Biddeford; three brothers, Llewellyn Campbell and his wife, Janet, of Princeton, Richard Campbell of Baileyville and Eugene Campbell of Calais; 35 grandchildren, including grandson, Keith Levesque, who he raised like his own; six great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; many, many friends across the country; and a special canine companion, Oscar. Friends may call starting 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at 15 Oak Circle, Peter Dana Point. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, at St. Ann’s RC Church, Peter Dana Point, with father James Plourde officiating.
